Pamela Reif’s Home Workouts

Are the reason I fell in love with fitness

I read an article from @rovikesh, who spoke about her experiences doing home workouts with Pamela Reif, a German fitness influencer. She messaged me to write about my own experience since I am quite a dedicated supporter of Pamela.

For a couple of years, I had been working out periodically with Pamela. As a complete beginner, I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing, so I did the occasional ab and song workout then left it at that.

Fortunately, in March 2020, Pamela took to her Instagram to start posting weekly workout schedules. She started with only three different plans, but now she has eight plans that you can choose, from beginner to hardcore. Unfortunately, three programs are only available if you pay the premium subscription for her ‘Pam App,’ but that’s not a problem since I do her free 45-minute sweaty plan.

These workout plans have proved incredibly useful because I am now working out consistently and exercising all my muscle groups. I especially enjoy Thursdays, where she gives us a day of stretching rather than cardio or strength workouts. You also get a rest day on Sundays.

It’s essential to stay healthy, especially nowadays, but it’s equally important to keep happy. Sometimes, I’m not motivated to exercise, but I do it anyway, and, every time, I finish with a smile on my face. Is it Pamela’s infectious energy, the upbeat music, or the proven benefits of exercise? Probably all three but, either way, I’ll continue her workouts for as long as she posts them.

One important note to make is that, while Pamela provides beginner plans, almost all of her workouts have no talking, so there is no explanation of the correct form or which muscles you should be engaging. So, if you are new to working out, be careful not to injure yourself.

It’s so easy to come up with excuses why we can’t exercise. Maybe you haven’t got enough time, or you can’t afford a gym membership. Home workouts are the perfect solution to these problems.

They’re completely free, and no matter who you are, you can find at least thirty minutes to put work aside and stay healthy.

I highly recommend everyone does something to stay active; whether it’s a ten-minute brisk walk or a 60-minute hardcore home workout, it will significantly improve your physical and mental health.
